Cabin Leader: Hollee “Westie Willow”
Hello! I’m Hollee (or Westie Willow here at camp) and I’m so excited to be your camper’s Cabin Leader this week! I’m from Hudson, Wisconsin and I am currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Where I am pursuing a degree in accounting. In my free time, I love hiking, cheerleading, shooting, being on the lake, playing with dogs, and spending time with friends and family. This is my third year as a Cabin Leader and my ninth year total at Trout. I can’t wait to help campers grow in their faith and learn more about Jesus. Camp is my favorite place to be and my hope is that your camper will have the best week of their summer! It’s going to be an amazing week.
Cabin Leader Updates
Hello again from Timber Wolf! We're having an amazing week at camp! Yesterday we went banana boating - an all-time favorite activity here at camp. The girls absolutely loved it, and it has definitely been a highlight of our week. We also had a blast doing archery together, playing rec field games, and racing each other more on the beach obstacle course. Throughout our chapel sessions this wee,k we have sung a lot of worship songs that the girls have really enjoyed, especially My Lighthouse and Reckless Love. We also heard a powerful message last night from our wonderful speaker Cynthia, who shared the good news of the gospel message. We had the opportunity to discuss afterwards as a cabin what it means to accept Jesus into your heart and have a personal relationship with him. Throughout this week, we have had the best time playing a lot of different night games, so we are looking forward to more fun tonight. We are excited to see what else God has in store for us on our last day at camp.
Hello from Timber Wolf! Our week has been off to a great start! We began oour day with TAG time (Time Alone with God) and then Bible X where we got to watch a fun skit about Paul with a road trip twist. After Bible X, we had a great discussion as a cabin about all the unique gifts and talents God has given us, and how we can use them to glorify God. During our cabin activity time, we had a blast going canoeing together and going on a fun pontoon ride around the lake. The girls also had a lot of fun during free time playing on the beach obstacle course, petting all the cute kittens at the horse corral, and buying lots of fun treats at the canteen. It was awesome to see how well the girls worked together during our night game as well where we got to run around camp and solve clues that would lead us to a final destination. We did great! We are excited to go banan boating and ziplining later this week!
