

Winter Retreats
Experience the best Trout has to offer in the winter - plenty of snow, a two-run tubing hill with a tow rope return, broom ball, indoor climbing walls, great food, dynamic worship and Bible-based teaching. The following retreats are available: University New Years Weekend, Disciple Team Retreat, Winter Rush and Winter Expedition.

Winter Rush
(6th–12th grade)

Winter Rush is designed to be a getaway for you and your youth group at Trout. We tailor the weekend with the goal of challenging students with the gospel of Jesus by meaningful bible-centered talks. No matter where your students are at spiritually, they will get great teaching and be encouraged to grow deeper in their relationship with Christ. These weekends are highly social and we provide activities and space for your youth to grow together as a group.

Speaker: Joelle Hassler
ONLY January 20–22
Joelle is a pastor in the Twin Cities and has been speaking to students for over 20 years! Her passion is to help students connect with Jesus through stories, Scripture and lots of laughter and fun. Joelle loves Jesus, staying up late and watching other people play sports.
Worship Leader: Hunter Fraser
ONLY January 20–22
Hunter is a worship leader, and songwriter from Minneapolis. His song Peace comes out everywhere on January 27th. To learn more about him, head to hunterfraser.com.
Speaker: Greg Speck
ONLY January 27–29Greg Speck was born and raised in California and now lives outside of Chicago. His full-time job is traveling across America and around the world speaking to teens and adults. Here are three truths and a lie, which is the lie? 1. Greg has spoken in every state in the United States. 2. He has a Golden Retriever named Taz and a Black Lab named Midnight. 3. He once broke both his ankles in the span of one week. 4. He has been to Europe and on the British Isles 25 times.
Worship Leader: Spencer Grimes
ONLY January 27–29
Spencer is one of the worship pastors at Church of the Open Door in Maple Grove MN. He is passionate about thoughtfully praising Jesus with high energy and loud voices! Expect to sing some new songs and reconnect with classic camp tunes as we focus our time of worship on making space for students to meet with the God that created and loves them unimaginably
University Retreats
Date: December 30, 2022–January 1, 2023
Cost: Free for 2022 Alumni, $40 for Non-Alumni
Age: Completed high school to 25 years.
Spend the weekend with all your friends at Trout Lake Camps.
Enjoy a retreat created specifically for college-aged students. In addition to great music and messages, we will have time of sharing how God has moved in our lives over the past year. This weekend there will be plenty of time to relax and enjoy all that Trout has to offer - broomball, tubing, climbing, bouldering walls and a giant bonfire. This retreat is open to individuals and college/young-adult ministries.
If you worked as a volunteer or summer staff in 2022, your cost is free. Bring your friends for $40 each which includes meals and all you can drink hot chocolate in the Stoneridge Dining Center.
Speaker: Mike Garry
Mike cannot wait to be at Trout to ring in the New Year! He and his wife and their daughter are usually found spending time on two wheels, searching for new places to play or creating opportunities to bring people together. Mike lives in Brainerd where he serves as a pastor, spiritual director and bike mechanic.
Band: Liam JensenLiam Jensen is a Worship Leader based in North Branch Minnesota. He currently leads at churches and camps throughout central and northern Minnesota, and is interning at The Waters Church. He has lead worship at Trout for the past two summers and is very excited to be back!
Winter Expedition
(4th–6th grade students)
Date: February 10–12, 2023
Cost: $129 per student; $89 per Adult
Winter Expedition is designed for Children's ministries. In addition to the fun games and activities, the weekend is tailored with the goal of challenging students with the gospel of Jesus by meaningful Christ-centered chapel sessions. No matter where they are at spiritually, your kids will be challenged to dig deeper and grow in their walk with God. We take care of the details so you as leaders can focus on creating meaningful relationships with your kids.

Speaker: Dawn WicklundDawn serves as a pastor to kids and families at Eagle Brook Church. She has a heart & passion for reaching people for Jesus! When she's not doing that, you can find her hanging out with her family, snowboarding, skateboarding, snuggling with her dogs or trying something I've never done before. She loves to have FUN and enjoy the adventure God has for each of us!

Disciple Team Retreat

Cost: Free for 2022 Alumni, $40 for Non-Alumni
Age: 7th–12th Grade
Join us at camp for a weekend tailored for Dteam members. Over the weekend we will have music and messages as well as time to enjoy the winter activities Trout has to offer - broomball, tubing, rock climbing and all the hot chocolate you can drink. Catch up with old friends and make some new ones. This retreat is open to any former Dteam member and anyone interested in joining the Dteam.
Transportation will be available from the Arden Hills or Princeton location.

Speaker: Katie HenslinKatie grew up in Apple Valley and graduated from Bethel University. Katie has been with The Community Co since it's very beginning in 2000. Outside of The Community Co Katie loves spending time with her cute husband Pete and their three children--Maja, Carter, and Ruby. Their time together usually always consists of skis (whether it be snow or water) sunshine, yummy food, friends and the best family.
