The Minnesota Department of Transportation begins a project to improve safety and mobility on Highway 371 from Baxter to Nisswa (13 miles in total). This project includes resurfacing the roadway with blacktop, extending turn lanes to improve traffic flow, upgrading traffic signals, pedestrian access improvements and closing median crossovers to improve safety.
Motorists will encounter lane closures and reduced speeds, flaggers controlling traffic at accesses and night work in the city of Baxter.
Weather permitting; this work will be completed by late August. For the most current project information on staging and timelines (click here).
