Buddy Check: Let's Eat is a Huge Success
Friends of Trout,
July 23 was another historic day for TLC. With over 350 people attending Buddy Check: Let’s Eat, we had a great time of: connecting with Trout alum, hearing from past and present Trout leaders, and seeing conceptual drawings of the proposed worship center at Timber Ridge.
The highlight of the day was giving testimony to how God has, and continues to, meet people at Trout. This summer alone, 54 kids have made a 1st time decision to follow Jesus.
At the end of the program, folks who attended had the opportunity to support God’s ministry at Trout by giving to multiple different needs. Some people gave to the dollar for dollar matching program (money given will be matched up to $110,000) to help finish the dining hall. Others gave to our $1 a day campaign called Project $365 which helps fix up the old part of camp. Lastly, one person informed TLC of an estate gift.
In total, over $39,000 was given or pledged to Project 365.
In total, over $72,000 was given or pledge to the dining hall (which will be matched when the gifts are mailed in - dollar for dollar totaling over $140,000).
If you were unable to attend and would like to support Trout Lake on this historic day, we are asking you to give to the dollar for dollar matching program. Our goal is to complete the remaining match of approximately $37,500 and this would fully-fund the new dining hall at Timber Ridge. This dining hall will open by January 1, 2012.
You can give in two ways:
- Send a check to Trout Lake Camps, 1901 West County Road E2, Arden Hills, MN 55112 and put “matching gift” in the memo line.
- Give online and designate your gift.
Thanks for your involvement and may God bless you.
In Christ,
Wick
