Camper Stephanie Writes About the Trout Experience
Dong! Dong! Dong! That's the sound of the morning bell making heavy sounds to tell us it's time to wake up at Trout Lake Camps (TLC). The taste of their melty, warm cinnamon rolls is splendid. The cafeteria is as loud as a herd of elephants running over a field. Breakfast is over now, it is time to go to chapel.
The speaker is phenomenal. He can even gear his messages towards kids. Now he releases us to go do our family activities.
There are so many exotic activities at TLC! They have really relaxing pontoon rides that take you to ice cream shops across the lake. You can feel the smooth outer cover of the rifles at the shooting range. There are sling shots and archery. You can go to the beach and leap onto the "BLOB" and then get catapulted off. The "BLOB" is like a giant pillow floating in the water. Trout even has a water slide in the lake. I love the daring zip line. The zip line is like a giant building that you have to jump off of. Don't forget the fantastic tubing and shark boating. During all of the excitement the sun is smiling down on you. You can see all of the people signing up for a gigantic variety of activities.
Trout has great morning and afternoon activities for kids, teens and adults. The adults have activities such as: games, archery, sling shots, and romantic stuff. Kids and teens get to go canoeing, learn about God, have bonfires and go on the caterpillar. The caterpillar is a tractor with lots of rusty carts that it pulls behind it. When you ride the caterpillar it is thrilling because you get thrown side to side.
TLC has so many exciting things for everyone to do and during it all you get to learn about God.
