Work Hard, Play Hard!
We work hard on projects, but we play hard too. During the day, our staff will lead you in a project - some big, some small, that will make a big difference in getting Trout ready to teach kids about the life changing message of Jesus Christ. Our evenings are filled with fun and fellowship.
Mark and Mandy Johnson live in Arden Hills and are part of a young church called Pursuit Community Church in Mounds View. We enjoy snowshoeing in the winter and being at the lake in the summer.
We both grew up going to and working at Christian camps in Washington and Wisconsin. They were so formative to our spiritual growth that when our two kids wanted to serve at Trout and spend the summers up there, we were thrilled to partner with Trout in our kid's development! We have been involved with Trout Lake Camps for more than 35 years, as volunteers, campers, speaker, staff, retreat planners, and Serve Team! We love leading the willing volunteers at Serve Team as we accomplish so much and develop relationships while doing it!
