Students are expected to attend the Dteam training weekend at Trout June 19–21. Throughout the summer, in-depth ministry training takes place through personal reflection and study, participation in the MinistrySafe Program, small group interaction, and group building experiences.

One of my campers kept saying everything was stupid. No matter the event, no matter the food, no matter what we were doing - she wanted no part of it. I tried to talk to her, but it went nowhere. But then at chapel she responded to the speaker. She came up to me with the biggest smile and said, "I guess I'm part of the family of God now."
