We had one camper who was sent home for COVID-19 contact tracing connected to an event prior to their arrival at Trout. This camper showed no signs or symptoms of COVID-19 but was sent home as a precaution. Any testing results will be updated.

We had one volunteer staff member go home as a precaution because they were not feeling well. Test results were negative.

We had a leadership staff member who was tested this week. His results were negative.

One Camper has been tested from week 6, test was negative.

We are now in the swing-of-things with campers at camp. Banana boating is a great activity that many of our campers rave about while at camp. Cabins get to take shifts and spend time out on the water with their cabin mates, and of course GET WET!

During our second week of camp, we had two summer staff members that were tested for COVID-19 and both results were negative. We had one camper who was sent home for COVID-19 symptoms this week, and that camper tested negative. We have been notified that three campers from our July 12 week of camp were tested after they returned home, and all tests were negative.

This is our second week of having campers here, and it's so great seeing campers having fun in the sun. Each morning we do our TAG time (Time Alone with God) and campers can spread out outside and follow our packet that gets them in the Bible in a fun meaningful way.

We finally wrapped up 5 weeks of staff training yesterday! Aside from all our normal training content, our staff and cabin leaders were trained on how to social distance with campers and with each other. We reworked our schedules and programming to account for keeping individual cabin groups together and distanced from other cabins. These cabin leaders charged headlong into staff training to make sure they were safe and ready for campers to arrive and hear the message God had in store for them this summer. This group of summer staff are the most selfless group we've had, even on their time off they are making sure they social distance in order to be safe and get campers here at camp without infection. We were also able to have some fun mixed in with a Hoe Down at the horse corral, beach parties, movie nights, and naming all our new staff members.

Campers arrived today and we could not be more excited! There were many happy tears when our first group of campers arrived. Our staff were cheering and chanting getting campers pumped to finally be at Trout. While it's not always fun to social distance and five weeks of staff training was hard and exhausting, to see the excitement of our campers (and their parents) made everything worth it.

We are so thankful to God to be able to run camp this summer. Please be praying that our staff and campers will stay safe and healthy this summer!

Staff training has been going great to far, we moved to The Point a few days ago after being at Timber Ridge for 3 weeks. We had a guys/gals night out to take a break from all of our training. The guys had canoe wars, roasted giant marshmallows and talked about what it means to be a man of God. The girls played rec games together and had an activity built for the girls to encourage one another better. Staff training has been long, but we are so thankful that it's been with this group of staff.

Please continue to pray that we will be able to run camp this summer and have a chance to bring campers closer to Christ!

Staff arrived at camp yesterday and it's so nice to have new and familiar faces at Trout again! So far, we've put staff into small family groups, done some health training, prepping to do work projects getting camp ready to hopefully have campers here, and staff got their very own 6ft pool noodle to carry around with them wherever they go. We also begin with our camp naming ceremony that each new staff member gets to introduce themselves and are given a unique camp name to use for their time at Trout. Everyone has great energy and excitement to learn how Trout will work this summer and learning more about the position they are working in this summer. We're planning on some good Bible discussion and prepping for lessons to do with campers. We'll also get to do the zip line, high ropes course, and some fun evenings planned for the staff to relax and have fun.

Please be praying that our staff stay healthy and safe and that Trout will be able to have campers on grounds this summer so they can grow closer to God in an extraordinary way.
