Women’s Retreat (September 21-23, 2012)

Set aside time to reflect and to set your heart free. You will come away from your usual routine to hear the voice of God in a fresh way. This year we will focus on releasing the stresses that can weigh you down which will enable you to open your heart for God. It is with hearts full of God that we are able to fulfill His purposes in our lives. So, for one of the best weekends of your fall, come to women's retreat and reflect, be refreshed and relax with friends.

Highlights

Each year we invite a powerful speaker to challenge attendees to grow in their relationship with Jesus. Worship is a priority and most years we bring in a local band to lead worship during the general sessions. Also, we offer a variety of workshops that typically include: Leadership Development, Understanding Why Young People are Leaving the Church, Relating to Aging Parents, Developing True Friendships in a Facebook World and Parenting Youth.

We invite you to enjoy many activities available: rock climbing wall, paintball, zip line, canoeing, paddle boats, pontoons, archery, volleyball, riflery, biking, horseback riding, softball, walking, tour of Timber Ridge Camp and much more. Or just relax, take a nap, read a book, go shopping in town or chat with friends. You choose and enjoy.

What to Bring

If you are staying in a cabin, bring a sleeping bag and a pillow; for Shalom House, you may opt to bring twin bedding. Other necessities: Bible, notebook, casual and warm clothes, walking shoes, rain gear, flashlight, toiletries — and don’t forget towels.
