God is good!
This past summer was incredible at Trout Lake Camps. It was Friday night after the last chapel and I was talking with my wife, brother and sister-in-law. We pondered the evening message on 2 Timothy 4:1-2 “I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage – with great patience and careful instruction.” Time and time again, the four of us sat back and praised God for passionate, relational, theologically solid biblical instruction at Trout. We knew during chapel the Holy Spirit was urging campers and us to be bold, prepared and ready to communicate the life-changing message of Christ. To summarize that evening...praise God for working in our lives and the lives of campers as 1 in 7 campers made either: a 1st time decision to follow Christ or rededicating their life to Christ or a decision to be in full-time Christian service. Wow!
Second, we made great strides in furthering the vision of Trout by completing and starting many new construction projects. This past summer over 1 mile of new roads were constructed. We broke ground on cabin 10 and 11 at Timber Ridge along with starting another bathhouse. The Timber Ridge 50yd x 100yd ball field is leveled, sprinkler system installed and will be seeded in mid-October. Also, the renovation of the health lodge at The Point has begun and our volunteers have been fantastic!
Things are changing quickly at camp and please keep us in your prayers as we follow His lead, one step at a time.
On behalf of Christ and kids,
